Adding and Managing Contacts & Companies

This guide explains how to add a single contact, bulk upload contacts, and create companies and link them to contacts in SponsorCloud’s Growth Suite CRM.

💡 Tip: If you are using the SponsorCloud Investor Platform, all existing contacts with tags and custom fields are automatically synced to Growth Suite. No manual addition is needed. Contacts added in either platform are auto-synced.


1. How to Add a Single Contact

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Contacts in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the ➕ Add Contact icon.

  3. Fill in all mandatory contact details and any optional fields as required.

  4. Click Save to add the contact to your CRM.

💡 Tip: You can edit the contact later to add more information or link it to a company.


2. How to Bulk Upload Contacts

Bulk uploading contacts allows you to efficiently add multiple contacts at once.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Contacts in the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the Import Contacts icon and select Contacts as the object for import.

  3. Download the sample spreadsheet, fill in all required fields, and save your CSV.

  4. Choose your import option:

    • Create Contact – adds new contacts only

    • Create and Update Contacts – adds new contacts and updates existing ones

    • Update Contacts – updates existing contacts only

  5. Map each column in your CSV to the corresponding CRM field.

  6. Click Import to add all contacts at once.

Once the import process has started, you can monitor its progress by navigating to Contacts → Bulk Actions.

💡 Tip: Verify your CSV for duplicates and correct formatting before importing. Test with a small batch first.


3. How to Add Companies and Link with a Contact

Step 1: Create a Company

  1. Navigate to Contacts → Companies.

  2. Click + New Company.

  3. Fill in company details:

    • Company Name (required)

    • Phone, Email, Website, Address (optional)

  4. Click Add Company.

Step 2: Link a Contact to a Company

  1. Open the contact record.

  2. Go to the Company tab.

  3. Search for and select the company you just created.

  4. Click Save to link the contact.

💡 Tip: A contact can be linked to only one company at a time, but companies can have multiple contacts. When importing contacts via CSV, include a Business Name column to automatically create and link companies.
