How to Filter Investor Profiles with Incomplete Information
Easily filter investor profiles with missing information for tax filings or distributions, generate reports, and send reminders to investors to complete their Profile.
Overview
Sponsors often face challenges when preparing for tax filings or processing distributions because investor profiles may contain missing or incomplete information. Identifying which investors are missing specific details can be time-consuming, especially when managing large investor lists leading to manual follow-ups, delays, and an increased risk of errors or non-compliance.
To address this, SponsorCloud provides an inbuilt Missing Information Report that allows sponsors to easily identify investors with incomplete profiles based on whether the information is required for tax filing or distributions, and automatically send reminders through the platform.
Step-by-Step: Find Missing Profile Information

Step 1: Navigate to Reports
Go to Reports → Investments.
Step 2: Select the Offering
From the Offering dropdown:

Select a specific offering, or
-
Select ALL to generate a report for all offerings
Step 3: Filter Incomplete Profiles
Click on the Show Incomplete Profile dropdown and select one of the following options:

For Tax Filings
-
For Distributions
Based on your selection, the platform will automatically filter and display investors who are missing information required to complete the selected activity.
Step 4: Review and Take Action
After applying the filters, you can choose to:

Run the report and export it to CSV to review investor information offline, or
-
Send reminders directly from the platform to prompt investors to complete their missing details
How to Send Reminders to Investors

Once the filtered list of investors is displayed:

Select the investors you want to follow up with

Click Send Reminder
Investors will receive an email prompting them to log in and complete their missing information, helping ensure timely and accurate data collection without manual follow-ups.
How to Customize Reminder Email Templates

SponsorCloud allows you to customize reminder emails with your own messaging before sending them to investors.
To modify the reminder email template:

Go to Settings → User Notifications

Select Incomplete Profile Reminder

Update the email subject and message content as needed

Save your changes
