Change Profile Type of Active Investment

Learn how to change the Profile Type from Individual to Entity or vice versa of an active Investment.

Intro

When raising capital, investors may choose to invest as individuals but change their investment type later. It is essential for a Sponsor to update the profile type of the investment in SyndicationPro and request the Investor to re-do the subscription agreement for the updated profile type. 

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Creating a New Profile in SyndicationPro

To update the investment type in SyndicationPro, the Investor or Sponsor must create a new Profile Type. This new Profile Type should include all the necessary fields and information.

To Create the New Profile type in SyndicationPro as an Investor, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your SyndicationPro Investor Dashboard.

2. From the left panel, navigate to Profiles and select Add New Profile.

3. Choose the appropriate Profile Type, such as LLC, IRA, Joint Registration, etc.

4. Fill in all the required information for the new Profile.

To Create the New Profile type in SyndicationPro as a Sponsor on behalf of the Investor, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your SyndicationPro Sponsor Dashboard.
2. Use the Search box from the top of the page to find the Investor you want to update.
3. From the left panel, expand the Profiles tab and click on Add Profile.
4. Choose the appropriate Profile Type, such as LLC, IRA, Joint Registration, etc.
5. Fill in all the required information for the new Profile and Hit Save

Step 2: Updating the Investment with the New Profile Type

Upon creating the new profile type, The new Profile will show under Profiles. The sponsor can change the investment's profile type to the new Profile and remove the existing invalid subscription agreement. 

The Investor can now re-do the subscription agreement for the new Profile Type through SyndicationPro.

Please follow the steps below to update the Profile Type to the Investment.

• To find the New Profile, expand the Profiles section.
• Expand the Investments section from the left to view all active investments. Locate the specific investment you want to update, and click on the Preview icon.
• From the drop-down menu labeled Select Profile, choose the new Profile type. Afterward, change the Investment status to Pending, remove the Doc signed date, delete the invalid Subscription agreement, and save the changes to the investment.

Step 3: Investor to sign the Updated Subscription Agreement

As a final step, please notify the respective Investor to sign the new agreement following the below steps.

• To locate the investment, investors should go to the My Investments section and look for it under the "Pending" tab. They can then click on "Pending Signature" to sign the new agreement.
