Intro

When raising capital from your investors, it's important to be able to track if a certain investor has funded via multiple contributions. Sponsors have the ability to track contributions through Capital Calls, however, this does not fully give the full details of tracking contributions separately for each investment. That's where Multiple Contributions come in!

Step #1: Add Investment

To add an investment to a specific offering, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your SyndicationPro portal
  2. Click Portfolio in the left-hand navigation menu
  3. Select the offering for which you'd like to multiple contributions to
  4. Click Add Investment in the top right-hand corner

Step #2: Complete Investment Details

Fill in the following details below in the Add Investment pop-up:

  1. Select Offering: This will be prefilled with the offering you selected in the previous step
  2. User: The investor for whom you want to add an investment
  3. Profile: The investor's profile you want to use for this investment
  4. Status: Select the status of the investment
    • Note ― If the status equals Approved, then the Contribution Date below is not required. If the status equals any other value, the Contribution Date below is required.
  5. Investor Class: The Investor Class you want to use for this investment
  6. Docs Signed: The date that investment documents were signed by the investor
  7. Commitment Amount: The total investment amount, AKA Commitment Amount, that the investor is committing.

Note: Please note that the Commitment Amount field has replaced the Investment Amount field in the Add Investment flow to accommodate the use of multiple contributions.

Step #3: Add Multiple Contributions

After filling in all the details listed in Step #2 above, it's time to add the contributions. This process is very straightforward:

  1. In the Contribution Amount field, enter the total amount for a single contribution
  2. In the Contribution Date field, enter the date for which the contribution was made
  3. To add another contribution, click + Add Contribution
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 until you have added as many contributions as you need for this investment
  5. Click Save

Step #4: View Total Funded Amount (optional)

If you wish to view the total funder amount on an investor for a specific offering, you can do this by completing the following:

  1. Click Portfolio in the left-hand navigation menu
  2. Select the Offering you wish to view
  3. Find the investor for whom you want to view the total funder amount for
  4. Click the Edit Pencil in the Action column of the row of the investor
  5. You will now see the Total Funded Amount for that investor, along with how many contributions make up the Total Funder Amount
  6. Hover over the Contributions option to view all contributions, along with their funded dates and amount funded.

Important Considerations

  1. To edit a contribution, navigate to the investment at the offering level and click the edit pencil in the Action column of the row of the investor. Next, click {x} Contributions ✎. The list of contributions will populate, allowing you to edit them accordingly.
  2. If an investment is approved without adding a contribution, then the system will auto-create a single contribution with the commitment amount as the contribution amount. This contribution will not have a date.
  3. If a capital call is created and the capital call has a funded date, then that capital call will also be shown as a single contribution to a specific investment.
  4. If an investment has a status of Pending, declined, waitlisted, or ownership, then the Contribution Date is mandatory to save the contribution.
  5. If an investment has the status of Approved, then the contribution date is not mandatory.
