Raising capital and managing investors on SyndicationPro will help you raise more money, save you an incredible amount of time, and provide a great experience for your investors. Here's how to make the most out of it.
Communications
There are many potential emails you can send your investors during this entire process. Attached to the bottom of this article is a PDF containing multiple examples of emails you can send, such as end-of-quarter updates, investment opportunities, year-end recap, etc.
Make sure you understand the emails that will automatically go out to your investors. These are all listed in your Settings under the User Notifications tab.
Setting Up the Offering

Click the "Add New Offering" button under the Portfolio page to get started.
All of the details your investors will see are listed on the Offering Details tab. Go through each section to build out the offering and click Preview at the bottom of the page anytime to see how it looks for your investors.
Keeping the Status as Draft will prevent anyone from seeing the offering.
Here's a quick checklist to make sure you're ready to start taking investments:
- Offering Details tab
- All sections have been reviewed and filled out.
- eSign Templates tab
- Make sure all profile types are assigned a template to sign. Here is the eSign Tutorial.
- Practice Run
- If you haven't already, create an account as an investor using your personal email account.
- Create a group called Test and add yourself to this group.
- Set the offering Visibility to the Test group and change the Status to Accepting Investments.
- Login to your investor account and place an investment to make sure it's set up the way you expect it to be.
- Here is a quick video on setting up a Practice Round.
Taking Reservations
Click here for a detailed article on creating reservations
Accepting reservations is not required but it helps you garner interest and take soft commitments for your deal long before you're ready to take actual investment requests. Here's an example of what you can tell your investors:
"Our deals fill up FAST, so I highly recommend making a reservation. It's a non-binding commitment but it will give you a priority over those who don't make a reservation and we'll also make sure we keep you updated as the deal becomes available."
As you drive people to make reservations you:
- Better understand how much investor demand you have which helps you plan
- Create a warm list of prospects to treat as a priority once you start accepting investments
You will see the "Accepting Reservations" status directly under the Offering Details page.
Once you have all of your offering documents and you're ready to start accepting investments you can change the status to "Accepting Investments." Everyone who made reservations will be listed on the Reservations tab and the platform will keep track of who converts to an actual investment to help you prospect.
Managing the Capital Raise
