Step-by-Step Guide to Create and Send New Updates.

Go to Portfolio from the left panel and Click on the Offering for which you would like to email an update.

Navigate to the last tab labeled “Updates” and click on Add update to Open the email campaign creator.
This Email Creation Process Consists of Three Core sections
Section 1: Details
Fill in all mandatory fields:

Subject of the Email: Enter a clear and concise subject for your Update.

Select Investor Classes: Choose the investor classes to automatically include all approved investors from those classes as recipients.

Date: Set the date for the email to be sent.

From Email: This will be the email address from which the email is sent.

From Name: The name that will appear as the sender of the email.

Reply-To Email Address: Specify the email address where replies will be directed.

By default, our system will use our System email address for sending updates. However, we recommend using your own email domain for better recognition and professionalism. To set this up, you will need to verify your domain. You can follow the verification steps here.
Section 2: Content
This section allows you to create a new email template from scratch using our easy drag-and-drop email template creator, or you can choose from one of our default "Offering Update" template and modify it with your logo, contact and images for your branding.
Personalizing Investor Emails with Merge Tags and Smart Cards
Although the update is sent as a bulk email, each investor receives a fully personalized message that includes their name and specific investment details, ensuring a more engaging experience.
You can enhance this personalization by using merge tags (e.g., investor name, amount invested, offering name) and adding the Investment Performance Smart Card. This card displays Dynamic key metrics specific to Investments like NAV, Estimated IRR, Accrued Preferred Return, and Equity Multiple, helping your email stand out with relevant insights that are clear and valuable to your investors.
⚠️ Important Notes:

Investment performance metrics—including NAV, Estimated IRR, Accrued Preferred Return, and Annualized CoC—will appear in the email only if they are configured and set to be visible to investors.
Manage visibility by navigating to:
Portfolio > The Offering > Distribution > Investor Metrics.If you're using the Investment Performance Overview, remove any metrics you don’t wish to display before sending the email.

Accrued Preferred Return reflects the earned but unpaid preferred return. It will display only if a waterfall with preferred return is set up.
Section 3: Attachments
You can attach project progress updates, financial reports, or other offering-specific documents for investors to access directly within the email or platform. These attachments help provide transparency and keep your investors informed with the latest information related to the offering.

Final Step:
Once the core sections are completed, select the additional options that apply and click Publish to finalize the process and send the emails to investors.
Additional Options:

Email Update to Investors
Checking this box will send the update via email to all investors associated with this offering.
Unchecking this box will save the update for investors to access when logged in, but emails will not be sent. This option is typically used when migrating historical updates. -
Include Account Statement
Checking this box will attach the investor’s account statement to the email. -
Send Test Email
Toggling this option allows you to send a test email to yourself or another recipient to ensure proper formatting before sending it to all investors.
